A table! 2024 edition
In December, French towns and villages deck themselves out in their finest Christmas decorations and organize the traditional Christmas markets: a place where shopkeepers and craftsmen gather to sell their wares, sheltered by typical little wooden huts. So Chic partners with Alliance Française to bring the Christmas Spirit to Singapore !
The idea for this new edition of “A Table!” is to convey a genuine Christmas spirit within Alliance Française’s gallery, with both a market-themed room, with the woodsy feel of traditional Christmas stalls, and a dining-themed room, displaying traditional Christmas interior design and used for culinary workshops.
During the week-end, the exhibition will shift into a true market: different traders will be present every week-end to sell traditional French or French-inspired Christmas products.
There will be 5 main themes for the 5 week-ends the exhibition will last:
16-17.11 | Mountain Week: cold cuts, cooking cheese, dessert, cheese, soup, fruit tart
23-24.11 | Sweet Week: crepes & waffles, chocolate, honey, Christmas biscuits, traditional candies & sweets
30-01.12 | Drinks Week: hot wine and cider, Christmas meal wine, champagne, liquor, hot soft drinks
07-08.12 | Gifts Week: hamper, jewellery, decoration, self-care, games
14-15.12 | Christmas Eve Week: seafood, spreads, fruits & vegetables, truffle, yule log
