A So Chic Festive Evening: Oysters & Gin Tasting Experience

Last week, So Chic hosted a one-of-a-kind culinary event, combining exquisite flavors and convivial networking at the elegant Remy Cointreau office. Aptly named the Oyster & Gin Festive Tasting, the evening offered guests a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere to celebrate the season.

The spotlight was on premium partners, whose offerings elevated the event to new heights. Parcs Saint Kerber, renowned for their top-quality oysters, provided a selection of briny, fresh oysters that delighted every palate. This indulgence was made possible thanks to Classic Fine Foods, who ensured every oyster was impeccably fresh and flavorful.

We even got a little lesson on how oysters were harvested. Did you know that an oyster becomes an adult when it turns one year old and can live as long as 20 years?

To complement the oysters, The Botanist Gin took center stage. This handcrafted gin, courtesy of Remy Cointreau, paired perfectly with the oysters’ briny richness. Guests savored expertly mixed gin cocktails, like a very refreshing gin & tonic served as a welcome drink, and everyone discovered the delicate interplay of botanical flavors in every sip.

We had the chance to taste 3 kinds of gin:

  • The Botanist Islay Dry Gin
  • The Botanist Cask Rested Gin
  • The Botanist Cask Aged Gin

Beyond the culinary delights, the event was a celebration of connections. Guests mingled in an informal yet sophisticated setting, building relationships while sharing their love for French gastronomy and lifestyle. The venue’s intimate charm encouraged vibrant conversations, leaving everyone inspired and connected.

This unforgettable soirée was a testament to So Chic’s dedication to curating unique experiences that embody French elegance and culture.
