The Perfect Baked Mont d’Or Recipe with Cheese Club

Looking for the perfect comfort food as the cooler months roll in? Say hello to the Baked Mont d’Or, a rich, creamy dish that brings a taste of the French Alps to your table. This traditional French recipe is simple to prepare and packed with flavor—garlic, white wine, and a pinch of pepper enhance the luxurious texture of the melted Mont d’Or cheese. Serve it with boiled potatoes and a charcuterie spread for a true gourmet experience. You can find your Mont d’Or at Cheese Club, who currently showcases this cheese as cheese of the month, to recreate this mouthwatering dish at home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Mont d’Or
  • 1 clove of garlic (chopped)
  • 4 cL of white wine
  • A pinch of pepper

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • Take the Mont d’Or out of the fridge and remove the lid. Wrap the wooden box with aluminum foil to prevent leakage and burning.
  • Gently scrape off the top rind of the cheese and cut a hole about 2 cm wide in the center.
  • Insert the chopped garlic into the hole, then pour in the white wine. Sprinkle with pepper to taste.
  • Place the Mont d’Or in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the top is golden.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately with boiled potatoes and charcuterie.

Bon appétit!
