At La Table d’Emma, every dish tells a story, and every meal is an invitation to share, connect, and indulge in the warmth of home-style cooking. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere reflects the founders’ passion for hospitality, making each visit feel like a gathering among friends.

In this exclusive interview, we step into their world to uncover the journey behind the restaurant, their inspirations, and what makes La Table d’Emma a true home away from home.

Michael : We decided to name the restaurant after Emma, as a present because she gifted us with two beautiful daughters : Charlene and Claire.

Emma : Comme à la maison !

Michael : Comme à la maison !

Michael : One day one guest told me “It should be illegal to be so good !”

Emma : They love the food, they say it’s the best homie french restaurant in Singapore where they feel welcome, where the food comes from passion.

Michael : My current favorite is the lobster ravioli, because it takes a lot of preparation, we do our own pasta dough, we prepare the scallop fast, we cook the lobster bisque, when we finish the dish we cook straight from the pan and it goes to the guests.

Emma : Duck Confit, that’s why I married him (laugh) ! That’s what I always tell the guests because the duck and the mashed potatoes … We should bring it back !

Michael : Most importantly, we serve it with caramelized grapes, a little bit of caramel, a little bit of sesame, we toss the grapes inside and most of the time the guests are rather talking about the grapes than the confit !

Both : Fleur de Sel

Michael : The fun, the fact that the motto of this restaurant is about family, we want people to feel at home and having the two kids running around everyday, it brings the joy and the happiness within the restaurant.

Emma : The freedom to be with him, everyday, most of the time. So I get to see him all the time !

Both : Yes we do ! After being open for about 10 months, we are now relooking at the interior design to make the restaurant a little bit more cozy and we still have a lot of new exciting dishes coming up !

Michael : My parents haven’t come yet so we are looking forward for them to come from Alsace and discover our restaurant.

Emma : Our parents, mommy, poppy, my late papa, and of course my mom.. She came, she’s the only one who came here but looking forward for the others to come. We are so excited ! We want them to feel pride with their son, that he made it to Singapore, left Alsace and he made it !

Michael : One more person for me would be Chef Alain Reix who was my chef back in the days in 2003 at the Eiffel Tower.
