Discover Your Inner Artist at the 2024 “Jeune Pinceau” International Young Artist Competition

The 2024 “Jeune Pinceau” International Young Artist Competition is back, offering young talents the chance to showcase their creative prowess and gain international recognition. Organized by the International Community of Young Artists (ICYA), this competition encourages aspiring artists to explore their artistic abilities and share their unique visions with the world.

ICYA annually organizes a Southeast Asian contest for amateur artists aged 3 to 22. A jury of Paris-based artists selects finalists for a world tour, inspiring the willingness to create. The program features the 16.08 Art Forum (with artists like Kumari, Lester Lim, Eva Armisen), workshops from 19.08 to 23.08 (covering paper, watercolor, sound), eleven screenings of awarded or independent films in August and September, and the launch of an art club in September.

This year’s theme, “Cultural Fusion: Bridging Artistic Traditions,” invites participants to delve into their cultural roots and reinterpret traditional art forms through a contemporary lens. The competition also includes specific topics like “Happy time on the farm” and “Future, environmental protection, and smart interconnection.” Participants can enter different age categories and mediums, including hand-drawn, digital, and AI-generated artwork.

Participants aged 7 to 18 are invited to submit their entries by September 30, 2024. The competition is divided into three age categories: 7-10, 11-14, and 15-18. Each age group will have winners announced for first, second, and third places, with special commendations for outstanding efforts.

Winners will have the opportunity to exhibit their artwork at the prestigious Jeune Pinceau Art Exhibition, held at the National Gallery Singapore. This exhibition provides a platform for young artists to gain exposure and interact with art enthusiasts, collectors, and professionals from around the world.

Furthermore, the competition will offer workshops and seminars conducted by esteemed artists and educators. These sessions are designed to nurture the participants’ skills and provide them with insights into the art world. Major exhibitions are planned across France, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and the USA, enhancing the global exposure of participants.

For more information on submission guidelines, visit the official ICYA website. Unleash your artistic potential and be a part of this enriching cultural experience!
